About the Creator
Wisconsin Frights was created by Charlie Hintz, a Wisconsin-based writer and creator who grew up on stories of local ghosts, dark history, and cults in the Kettle Moraine that turned into a lifelong obsession with researching and uncovering the roots of the state’s strangest legends. and forgotten history hidden in ordinary places.
Through Wisconsin Frights, Charlie has spent years documenting the unusual side of the state through research, writing, photography and video.
The project has grown from a collection of local haunted legends into a statewide resource for explorers looking for haunted places, Halloween experiences, weird attractions, and destinations that exist outside the typical travel itinerary.
