The massive Boeing C-97 Stratofreighter parked outside the Don Q Inn themed hotel was bought by Don Quinn in 1978. He brought it to his hotel with the intention of attaching it to the building and converting it into a coffee shop. Quinn never completed his vision, but the plane sits on the lawn in front of the hotel open daily to visitors.
After being retired from military service, this C-97 was used in car commercials starring actress Farah Fawcett for the Lincoln Mercury Cougar XR-7. It was then flown into the Dodgeville Municipal Airport and came to rest at the Don Q Inn where it can be seen today.
