Elmwood UFO Days

Elmwood UFO Days celebrates the town’s rich history of unexplained aerial phenomena and extraterrestrial encounters. Inspired by stories like Elmwood police officer George Wheeler’s strange 1970s encounter (when a bright blue blast of light left him dazed on Tuttle Hill) the festival honors the curious, mysterious, and fun side of UFO culture.

Held annually on the last full weekend of July since 1978, Elmwood UFO Days has brought together locals and visitors alike for a weekend of food, music, and otherworldly entertainment. The event is designed for families, UFO enthusiasts, and anyone intrigued by the unexplained.

Festivities include:

• Bus Tours: Visit historic UFO sighting locations in the Elmwood area
• Games & Activities: Flying saucer toss, alien crafts, and interactive experiences
• Meet Ofu: Elmwood’s friendly resident alien makes appearances throughout the weekend
