Horror Host Havoc

Horror hosts take over the Time Community Theater in Oshkosh for Horror Host Havoc, a full day of B-movies, horror shorts, live personalities, and old-school movie-theater mayhem. The event brings together Midwest horror hosts from Freaky Flix, Bordello of Horror, and more, with opportunities throughout the day to meet the hosts and shop their merchandise. The lineup moves from short films into features including Dr. “S” Vs the Zombies and Atom the Zombie Killer, before giving way to a double feature of cult favorites.

The centerpiece is Tom Holland’s 1985 vampire classic Fright Night, the horror movie about teenager Charley Brewster and the vampire next door that famously features Roddy McDowall as Peter Vincent, a horror-TV host and former movie vampire hunter. The night then gets even weirder with Space Babes from Outer Space, a 2017 sci-fi comedy about three stranded extraterrestrial women who discover that human sexual energy may be the key to getting their spaceship home.

Horror Host Havoc is built for fans who prefer their horror with a healthy dose of schlock, camp, cult cinema, and audience interaction. Food can be brought back into the theater during the evening break, and everything at the Time is cash-only. Pre-sales end roughly an hour before the event, so plan accordingly if you’re buying tickets in advance.
