About
Wo-Zha-Wa Days is an annual fall festival that has brought three days of free entertainment, shopping and family activities to downtown Wisconsin Dells since 1967. Held the second weekend after Labor Day, the festival takes over Broadway, Bowman Park and Elm Street Plaza with an arts and crafts fair, Wisconsin-grown farmers market, antique and collectibles market, sidewalk sales, food concessions, carnival rides and live music. The festival name means “fun time” in Ho-Chunk, and the event remains one of the Wisconsin Dells’ longest-running community traditions.
The biggest draw is the Sunday parade, which typically features more than 60 units traveling through downtown Wisconsin Dells, while Saturday adds the Wo-Zha-Wa 5K/10K Run. Families can also find bounce houses and an obstacle course, while the carnival provides rides throughout the weekend. For 2026, Wo-Zha-Wa Days runs September 18–20, with the arts and crafts fair and farmers market at Bowman Park, the antique market and sidewalk sales downtown, live entertainment at Elm Street Plaza, and the parade at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission to the festival itself is free, making Wo-Zha-Wa a straightforward way to experience Wisconsin Dells beyond its major tourist attractions.
