Evergreen Inn Hotel / Manitowoc Place
204 N 8th St, Manitowoc, WI 54220
The Evergreen Inn Hotel, now an apartment building known as Manitowoc Place, is a historic building in downtown Manitowoc where many deaths are believed to have taken place over the years. A resident named Kathy jumped to her death from her 6th or 7th floor window in the 1980s. Since then, other residents have reported seeing Kathy walking down the hall, mumbling to herself, and entering into her old apartment.
Visitors have reported seeing strange blobs of light in the building, an old elevator that would open on floors other than the button that was pressed, pounding noises, disembodied whistling sounds, and apparitions of people dancing and dining in early 1900s clothing in the old 2nd floor bar.
There are rumors of Satanic rituals being held in the building.
Chicago gangster Al Capone is said to have been a visitor of the hotel.
