Wisconsin author and paranormal researcher J. Nathan Couch had just sent his new book Goatman: Flesh or Folklore? off to press when he was contacted by a Hubertus area woman who’d had a run-in with a bizarre creature on the road near Holy Hill.
The creature had darted out into the road in front of the car when she was driving with her daughter, and they both got a good look at it in the headlight.
When she described it to Couch, he told her it sounded like Goatman.
Wisconsin has several notorious Goatman legends, including a prominent one near Holy Hill along Hogsback Road.
Listen to Couch recount this strange encounter in this clip from a recent interview I filmed with him for an upcoming video.

You can also catch J. Nathan Couch talking about goatman and other local legends on his Downtown West Bend Ghost Walk or in his other book Washington County Paranormal.
