Milwaukee filmmaker Mark Borchardt on the set of new horror movie 'Skinny Dip'

Milwaukee’s indie-film renegade Frankie Latina (the mastermind behind 2009 cult fave Modus Operandi) is working on his next DIY feature horror film titled Skinny Dip.

And it stars the legendary Mark Borchardt, the Milwaukee filmmaker at the heart of the acclaimed 1999 documentary American Movie.

Also, they blew up a boat.

What else could we possibly even need to know?

Come for the Borchardt, stay for the boat explosions.

Here’s the Skinny Dip synopsis:

Four friends take a road trip to a rural lake to find connection with each other, themselves and the world around them. Over the course of a night, what began as a peaceful, free-spirited getaway devolves into a murderous nightmare as everything that can go wrong, does. In order to survive, each of the travelers must shed all inhibitions and do whatever it takes to overcome an unstoppable killer. Kill or be killed. Sink or swim!

Frankie Latina and crew are hoping to fund this indie horror project with contributions from rabid fans like us through their GoFundMe campaign. Be a part of Wisconsin horror history!
