Ozzy Osbourne's final performance in Wisconsin at Rock Fest on July 14, 2017 in Oshkosh

Ozzy Osbourne performed what would end up being his final Wisconsin performance on July 14, 2017 at Rock Fest in Oshkosh. He closed the show with encore performances of “Mama, I’m Coming Home” and “Paranoid.”

Ozzy played numerous legendary shows in Wisconsin over the years, including many times with his iconic Ozzfest tour, but it turned out this 2017 Rock Fest performance would end up unintentionally being his last.

Future planned tour dates in Wisconsin ended up being cancelled due to Ozzy’s declining health, and he was never able to return.

Ozzy’s final performance ever took place in his hometown of Birmingham, England at the historic Back to the Beginning show on July 5, 2025. He performed a short set of songs from his solo career, and then closed the night with the original members of Black Sabbath playing their most beloved tunes for the last time.

He passed away just two weeks later at the Osbourne family home (a historic property known as Welders House) in Buckinghamshire on July 22, 2025.

“If you wanted a drink or food, it was right there and the even cooler part was its close proximity to the Alpine Valley concert venue. Boy do I have stories,” guitar player Bob Pucci said of the world-class recording studio in Lake Geneva. “On any given night while doing my guitar tracks, I’d turn around and on the studio couch would be, The Beach Boys, Jefferson Starship, Mr. Mister…you name it. They all stayed at the hotel there which was called The Americana Inn then. The best was when Ozzy Osbourne and band came by after their show…with about 50 girls in tow. Needless to say, there was no recording that night!”
