About
Circle Sanctuary is a longtime 501(c)(3) non‑profit Nature Spirituality church and community hub nestled on a 200‑acre forested nature preserve in the Driftless region near Barneveld, Wisconsin. Founded in 1974 by Rev. Selena Fox, the Sanctuary is dedicated to fostering spiritual connection with nature, hosting Full Moon circles, seasonal sabbats, volunteer days, ritual gatherings, and educational workshops rooted in earth‑centered spiritual paths. The preserve also includes one of America’s earlier Green cemeteries, walking trails, stone circles, and meditation sites that honor the natural and sacred landscapes of southwestern Wisconsin.
While Circle Sanctuary’s land is not open for casual drop‑in visits, it welcomes visitors during scheduled festivals, classes, and ceremonies where participants can experience ancient seasonal rites, communal rituals, and spiritual healing practices. The Sanctuary supports a broad interfaith and ecological mission that blends conservation, spiritual education, and community networking for Pagans and nature‑minded seekers alike.
