The Dark Side

The Dark Side Haunted Adventure is a large-scale scream park at N1255 Hoard Rd. in Ixonia, Wisconsin, just off Highway 67. Rather than a single walk-through haunted house, the attraction spreads its scares across a rural farm setting, combining multiple haunted experiences with outdoor trails, a hayride, a maze and a haunted corn maze.

One of The Dark Side’s biggest draws is its scale: previous seasons have covered more than 40 acres, with indoor and outdoor sections and enough walking to make this feel more like a Halloween adventure than a conventional haunted house. The optional Zombie Expedition adds a particularly unusual twist, putting guests aboard custom wagons for a roughly half-mile zombie hunt with paintball markers; past versions featured seven scenes and a 15-minute run. The attraction has also offered interactive experiences such as Terror Treatment, along with midway-style entertainment and concessions.
