Forest of Freaks

Forest of Freaks is an all-outdoor haunted attraction in Janesville, Wisconsin, located at Edge Paintball & Airsoft on U.S. Highway 51, just west of I-90 and across from Blackhawk Technical College. Rather than a conventional haunted house, Forest of Freaks sends you into the woods for a choose-your-own-path experience filled with live monsters, scary clowns and elaborate special effects. The attraction bills itself as Wisconsin’s longest outdoor haunted forest, with the typical walk taking roughly 30 minutes, although the route can take longer depending on how quickly you make it through.

The experience is aimed at older teens and adults, with Forest of Freaks recommending guests be at least 13. The property also turns the wait into part of the Halloween experience, with bonfires and concessions including hot apple cider, popcorn, candy and soda. Additional experiences associated with the property have included Shoot-a-Freak, zombie-themed events and escape rooms. Since the main attraction takes place outdoors, dress for the weather and expect uneven terrain as you make your way through the forest.
