Grateful Shed is one of the most unusual restaurants in Wisconsin Dells, built around an indoor “truckyard” where multiple food trucks operate under one roof. Instead of a conventional restaurant menu, you can choose from BBQ ribs, brisket, burgers and mac and cheese at Amigos Dells, tacos and quesabirria at Low Rida Tacos, pizza and wings at Cluck Yeah, or over-the-top grilled cheese and other comfort food at Cousin Eddie’s. The result is a particularly good option for groups who can’t agree on what to eat.
The food is only part of the attraction. Grateful Shed’s interior is packed with vehicle-themed seating and offbeat decor, (you can eat inside a actual Greyhound bus suspended in the air!) while the outdoor patio adds a fire pit and space to hang out when the weather cooperates. There’s also a full bar, specialty cocktails served in souvenir cups, live entertainment and a Sunday-Friday happy hour from 4:20 to 6:20 p.m. with half-price 16-ounce draft beers. Located at 1470 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy, it’s within walking distance of many Wisconsin Dells hotels and waterparks, making it an easy stop when you want something considerably less ordinary than a typical tourist-town restaurant.
