About
Jerry Smith Pumpkin Farm is a family-owned Kenosha farm that has been a Wisconsin fall tradition since 1975, when Jerry and Rosemary Smith started selling homegrown vegetables from a roadside stand. Today, the farm at 7150 18th Street combines a working produce operation and Country Store with a large seasonal fall attraction. Its most recognizable feature is Rosemary Smith’s tradition of hand-painted pumpkin displays, which have become a signature of the farm and provide free, highly photographed fall scenes alongside a Giant Pumpkin Tower, goat pen, firetruck, Musical Garden and other photo opportunities.
Fall is when Jerry Smith Farm becomes a full-scale pumpkin-season destination, with more than 40 varieties of pumpkins and gourds, a 6-acre corn maze, hayrides, petting zoo, giant bounce pads, pedal carts, straw maze, tire mountain and other family activities. The Country Store adds another reason to stop, selling farm produce and seasonal goods along with the farm’s famously popular frosted cookies and apple cider donuts. The combination of elaborate pumpkin displays, farm-grown produce and a long list of activities makes Jerry Smith one of the more substantial pumpkin farms near Kenosha for visitors looking for more than simply picking out a jack-o’-lantern.
The farm also operates beyond pumpkin season, with seasonal U-pick vegetables and other agricultural offerings throughout the year. Its location between Milwaukee and Chicago makes Jerry Smith Farm an easy fall day trip for families, photographers and anyone looking for classic Wisconsin autumn scenery without leaving the southeastern Wisconsin corridor.
Jerry Smith is also the annual Halloween home of Dr. Destruction’s Haunted Manor.
