About
Perdition Pines Haunted Event brings a full-scale horror production to the woods outside Antigo, combining a haunted trail with covered rooms, theatrical sets, special effects, and a cast of costumed scare actors. The attraction began in 2017 as a Halloween party with a small scare trail before becoming an official haunted attraction, and it has since grown into a multi-scene outdoor haunt. The experience starts with a visit to the Haunted Hotel before sending groups into a nightmare populated by murderous clowns, killer zombies, vampires, sirens, pirate doctors, and the Swamp Banshee. A long-forgotten church provides another stop along the route, with strobe lighting, smoke and fog effects, latex and prosthetic makeup, and plenty of opportunities for the actors to get in your face.
Located at N1385 County Road D just outside Antigo, Perdition Pines is an outdoor attraction, so expect to spend the night walking through wooded trails and exposed areas rather than moving between a series of indoor buildings. The haunt operates as a non-profit organization, with proceeds going back into the attraction, and the experience has expanded beyond its main Halloween haunt with events such as Blackout Weekend, Frostbite Forest, Kids Day, and the summer Disenchanted Freakshow Forest. There is also Pumpkin Overlord’s Axe Throwing at the main event, along with concessions, a bonfire, and the option to purchase a Respawn Pass for another trip through the attraction.
Perdition Pines is a good pick for anyone looking for an outdoor haunted house in northern Wisconsin with more than a simple walk through a dark forest. The attraction is not handicap accessible and requires guests to walk and stand for the entire experience; visitors should also be prepared for Wisconsin fall weather, since the haunt runs outdoors in rain, cold, and darkness when conditions permit. The combination of wooded trails, elaborate themed environments, live performers, and rotating special events gives Perdition Pines a distinctly theatrical feel that sets it apart from conventional indoor haunted houses.
