Explore the bizarre real-life stories of Wisconsin’s strangest UFO encounters in the first issue of the new Wisconsin Frights zine!
After months of planning, researching, writing, and designing, the release of first issue of the new Wisconsin Frights zine is finally imminent, thanks to the amazing Fright Club members who’ve made it possible.
Wisconsin has a long, weird history of extraterrestrial encounters. Seriously, we have some of the most perplexing cases in all of Ufology. And they go back decades before the 1947 Roswell UFO crash that kicked off much of the modern UFO craze we know today.
This first issue of the zine is about these encounters because July is alien month here at Wisconsin Frights HQ. It’s when the annual Elmwood UFO Days has been happening every years for over four decades. And the annual UFO Daze in Dundee occurred annually in July for more than three decades.
The Cosmic Encounters issue will only scratch the surface of Wisconsin’s extraterrestrial activity, but I chose my personal favorites. The notorious Joe Simonton alien pancake incident that happened in Eagle River, WI in 1961 makes the front cover, because it doesn’t really get any weirder than that.
I also explore the case of a police officer falling mysteriously ill and dying after his fateful encounter with a UFO, a man who sipped his morning coffee while he watched crop circles form before his eyes in the field across the street, the history of visitors from outer space to the Kettle Moraine, and more.

This issue is being printed in an extremely limited run, and will be shipped out exclusively to all premium Fright Club members on Patreon later this month.
